Haiku Collection (Covid-19 edition)

Haikus are Japanese poetry consisting of seventeen syllables. The first line is five syllables, the next, seven, and the third, five. I wrote a couple of these and some are my friends'. Try making your own haikus in the comments and I'll add them to this post. All haikus welcome!

"Ah, Covid-19,
W.H.O. said pandemic.
What a disaster."

"We are infected.
Covid-19 is deadly.
Wash regularly."

-Atharva J

"Conquered the humans,
They fall begging for mercy.
Or resort to whatsapp."

-Luke Young  [Confused Weekly Poet denies all responsibility for friends' stupid pseudonyms]

"Three month summer break.
Sounded magnificent but,
House arrest ain't fun."

"Covid-19 is
Deadly and causes boredom
Hence made this haiku"

-Anonymous

"It's Covid-19;
Malicious and very mean.
But there is some good.

Gone are all the cars.
And now we can see the stars.
It's Covid-19."

-Above two are by Shreya [Ah! A sensible name]

"Summer Vacation:
Pool, beach, foreign holiday,
Deluded was I.

No trains means no maids.
No pool, no beach, no Rome trip.
Dusting and Dishes."

"Just jobless at home.
What is a teen girl to do?
Poetry, of course!"
